Enrico Serafino has proudly included Gavi wines in its range since 1914, as evidenced by its first mention in the Inventory Book. Above the founder’s signature, the accountant of the time recorded “10,400 liters of dry white Gavi wine” stored in the cellar.
This is the tangible proof of the commitment that, for over 110 years, the winery has dedicated to the great Piedmontese white wine made of Cortese grapes.
Our Gavi docg del Comune di Gavi wines are grouped under the name Poggio della Rupe, symbolized alongside a reproduction of the Disk of Libarna. This artifact, dating back to the 1st century B.C. and found in the Libarna archaeological site near the Cortese vineyards, served as an astronomical clock used for mapping Roman cities.
The Poggio della Rupe collection features three distinct Gavi docg wines from Gavi: Grifo del Quartaro, the single-vineyard Poggio della Rupe Monterotondo, and the long-aged Maneo.
